Is your exterminator licensed in Wyoming?
WDA publishes a Pesticide Applicator License Search from its pesticide pages. Two Wyoming specifics. Expiry is unusual: a commercial license runs for the balance of the year in which it was issued plus 24 months, and always expires on 31 January — so a January or early February job is worth re-checking, and a license that looks recently expired may simply have hit that fixed date. Wyoming also grants reciprocal licenses to applicators certified in 24 other states, so your technician may hold a Wyoming license earned on another state’s exam; that is legitimate, but ask which category it covers. Pair with the Wyoming law page, which matters more here than almost anywhere: any duty in the landlord-tenant act can be assigned to you by explicit written agreement, so if your lease makes pest control your responsibility you may be the one hiring — and the one who needs this check.

What to verify, in order
The business license, not just the technician
Most states license the company and certify the individual separately. A certified technician working for an unlicensed business is still an unlicensed job.
The category or phase covers structural work
Licenses are issued by category. An applicator certified for turf and ornamental has no business in your bedroom.
Status is active, not lapsed
Some state databases exclude cancelled licenses from results entirely, so a revoked company returns the same empty result as a typo. If you get nothing, phone the agency before assuming you mistyped.
Complaint and enforcement history
Where a state publishes disciplinary actions they are usually on the board site rather than inside the license search.
